“MY DECISION TO GO TO THE SEMINARY”

Kore Brand talks from her own experience:

When I clicked 'Send' on my email application, for a split second I was really doubtful as to whether I had even the slightest chance of being accepted. It didn't look particularly good: I didn't want to become a priest, I hadn't read much Steiner, and since being confirmed my connection to the Christian Community had been virtually nil. Besides, I was abroad - so I couldn't come to either an admission's interview or to an Orientation Week.

I had mentioned all that in my application. But then the positive reply arrived! I was so happy and what the Priest Seminary stands for was for me confirmed: The path towards the Priesthood is the path of becoming human. That is exactly what I want to learn – and is something that will help me throughout life in every possible profession.
My hope is to become a doctor. I would like to study not just normal medicine, based as it is mainly on the outer symptoms of illness, but also everything that has to do with the human soul.

I know now that I have come to the right place, as I have already changed in the last eight weeks. That may not be visible outwardly, but it is certainly noticeable within. Maybe it has to do with the strength gained from going to the Act of Consecration of Man on a daily basis. Or perhaps it is down to all we are learning about. Or more simply because there are so many interesting and nice people living here. It is most likely a combination of all three! In any case I am soaking it all up like a sponge and look forward in anticipation to what is in store each day, and to everything that I am able to learn.

I am quite sure that the course is preparing me for life in the best possible way, in whichever direction my path is leading me. (And in the meantime, I am actually not so sure about definitely ruling out the priesthood ...)

If you are interested in the course at the Priest Seminary, we would be glad to hear from you.  Feel free to contact us and arrange a time for a personal talk.
